After having a journal for over ten years, the profile, she doesn't get the attention she deserves. I take for granted the fact that new people may stumble across here every once in a great while.
I'm 36 years old and living a good life, all things in perspective. Sure, I'd like to be a more organized person. I'd like to not have to tweeze freaky yak hairs out of my face. I'd like to be more creative on a daily basis. However, these things only happen if I work on them. I can't sit around and wait for life to happen to me, because it takes too long and I don't have the patience.
And now, cue the random stuff. I adore discovering local stores that are kitschy and unique. Losing track of time while lost in a local library is heavenly, especially when my daughter is being well-behaved. I'm becoming increasingly crafty with age, and I don't mean that in the sinister sense. Basically, I love to DO stuff. I live in a suburb of Denver with my husband, our daughter, and our two cats, Willow and Tiger. We're way too close to the mountains not to hike and snowshoe and blahblah someday we will be healthy active people who eat trail mix and crap in the woods. I am currently working a lot, losing weight, and I perform improv comedy, too, so you'll hear me talk about that stuff frequently. Get excited.
2012 is my year of honoring myself. Putting myself first is the gift I'm giving to myself this year.
